Most synthetic mesh fabrics are available in a standard width of 100-115cm and some are available wider up to 250cm. Each mesh is identified by a polymer code, a 3-part number comprising: aperture size and free filtering area (open area) and an indication of width in cm e.g.
In this example, NN950/55115 is Nylon Mesh with an aperture size of 950 microns, 55% open area and with a nominal width of 115cm. The complete range is specified on our various technical lists following the above nomenclature and the use of the description, together with the length required, provides us with all the information we need to make a prompt dispatch.
Orders for made-up items such as cut-pieces, ribbons, screens, cones, bags, etc... will need to specify additional information to describe the size and make-up details. Often these can be taken from old or used samples and the use of analysis facilities, allows us to identify fibre types, aperture size and thread diameter in addition to any making-up required.
